The Search for Mona Lisa

Hey guys!
We are currently in Luzern, Switzerland. It is beautiful! But first let us tell you about Paris. The internet cafe we are at does not have a USB port, so the pictures will come later.

The Search for Mona Lisa
Paris was beautiful. There is so much history in that city. We enjoyed many views of the Eiffel Tower during the day and at night. But one of our favorite memories is getting lost in the Lourve Museum trying to find the Mona Lisa.

There were four boys and two girls in this group. Under the direction of one boy, we will leave out names, we enter the massive museum in search for the Mona Lisa. Little did we know that we entered on the absolute wrong side of the museum and would not find the Mona Lisa for another 1 hour and 30 minutes! The pictures say more than words, but basically the maps were very confusing and the floor plan of the building was crazy with half stair cases and endless hallways and turns. We asked for help from the museum workers and they all said "Oh, up and to the left." One guy finally laughed at us and pointed across one of the many massive courtyards and said "opposite side."

We should have realized we were on the wrong side when no people were in the rooms we were looking at, and when we started getting closer to the Mona Lisa we started seeing more people and bigger signs for the painting! However, it was a fun adventure that none of us will forget! And we brushed up on our history of Mesopotamia, Roman architecture, Hammurabi´s law code, while also adding a statue of the Traveling Aggies on an empty stand.

We were in Paris for 3 nights and had an awesome time. We went on a Seine River cruise at night, toured the palace of Versailles, went to the top of the Eiffel Tower, and had an amazing Fat Tire bike tour at night through the streets of Paris.

Oh, and did I mention that the majority of the group went to a little show in the Red Light District called Moulin Rouge? Walking down the street with 32 beautiful women dressed up for a cabaret show was interesting to say the least. Luckily for the ladies, the men on this trip are rapidly honing their body guard skills, following the lead of our fiery, Austrian tour guide Herbie who got in the face and backed off several men that were getting to close for comfort. I heard ear pieces, black suits, and 9 mm´s are on back order right now.

Hope all is well in the US, we´ll work on getting more pics up soon!
